LIBRARY

The Rouzathul Uloom Arabic College Library has a collection of more than 17377 books and 50 plus national- international journals. Other than the books in Arabic language, the library has around a thousand reference texts and books in Malayalam and English languages. The books are classified using Dewey Decimal Classification. A multilingual inventory is available as Online Public Access Catalogue. Apart from this a catalogue in card form also available in Arabic and English language for retrospective collection. The circulation facility using barcodes ease the check in and checkout process of library documents. Facility to reserve a checked out volume to another reader is also provided. Orientation for new members is conducted to introduce the library, its services and functions. Newly arrived books are displayed at the entrance. The Network Resource Center allows both students and teachers to browse Internet. Photostat, Drinking Water, and Wi-Fi connectivity are other facilities available to library users. CDs and computer files are accessible from the digital library. ‘Arabic for Beginners’, a special collection is arranged for those who are starting to learn Arabic language. Entry and exit are recorded automatically using automated visitors register. A separate reading room is available for reading newspapers. A library advisory committee helps the principal in the matters related to library.
