Skill Enhancement workshop on spreadsheet organized

Department of Commerce, in association with IQAC and ED club organized one day Skill Enhancement Workshop on Spreadsheet with an aim to enhance the awareness on spreadsheet skills among the students on 4th August 2022 at the Informatics lab.
The workshop started with the welcome speech by Bashar al Bareer (Student Co-ordinator, ED club), Dr. Fahad P (HoD, Commerce) Delivered the presidential address. Shahd bin Aly (Principal) Inaugurated the workshop. The formal session ended with the vote of thanks by Amina mirfath (Student Co-ordinator, ED club).
Mr. Yusuf Harun (Senior Research Fellow, Pondicherry University) handled the workshop. The workshop covered from important basics to the advanced functions available in spreadsheet. The workshop designed as two session for second year students and final year students.The session covered with important mathematical, statistical functions like, Mean,Median, mode, power, factorial, Correlation, Count, Averageif, Sumif, Vlookup etc. which may help the students to excel in their field.
The workshop turned out to be helpful to the students for gaining more insights into spreadsheet and various functions available in spreadsheet; which is very important in the current fast moving world, especially for the Commerce students for fast and accurate decision making, Quick calculation and seamless data visualization.
